Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to Baltimore, Maryland, and the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) 2019 Meeting, the premier North American scholarly child health meeting.

The PAS 2019 Meeting showcases a wide-ranging program of invited and submitted science designed to expand your personal and professional horizons across academic pediatrics fields.

It brings together more than 8,000 pediatricians, research scientists, health care providers, and policy makers from around the globe united by a common mission: to improve the health and well-being of children worldwide.

During your time in Baltimore, you’ll have the opportunity to

  • hear presentations from internationally renowned scientists on a wide array of topics
  • learn about the latest original research in many specialty and sub-specialty areas
  • share experiences in workshops and special interest groups
  • honor the achievements of young, established, and senior pediatric investigators
  • build connections and network with colleagues and friends

The opening general session on Saturday morning highlights the Debbie Anagnostelis Keynote Address, featuring an interview with Flint water crisis pediatrician Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, and a talk by the Joseph W. St. Geme, Jr. Leadership Award winner.

Join your colleagues for the Welcome Coffee Break and Opening Luncheon surrounding the general session—both are excellent opportunities for meeting new collaborators as well as reconnecting with alumni and old friends.

Be sure to explore the new scientific session types designated as “PAS Labs:” Basic-Clinical-Translational Roundtable, Debate Pro-Con Discussion, and Panel Discussion. We’re interested in your feedback about the PAS Meeting experience as we strive to make it engaging, relevant, and cutting edge.

Our online program guide provides enhanced search and print capabilities, while the mobile app lets you focus on planning your daily itinerary. Both will allow you to track sessions, speakers, abstracts, topic areas, and more.

The PAS 2019 Meeting brings a world of discovery and engagement to you. Enjoy!

I look forward to seeing you in Baltimore.
