We are very excited to announce that this year’s meeting will feature presentations by:

Dr. Rajit Basu, Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, presenting “The Evolution of Critical Care – Moving Towards Thrivorship”
Dr. Michelle Baack, Chair of Pediatrics at the University of South Dakota and Sanford Health, presenting “Changing the future one exposome at a time."

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Baack’s presentation will be the inaugural
“Segar Family Lectureship” at the Midwest SPR meeting. This annual invited lecture series will recognize the extraordinary contributions and support by the Segar family to the Midwest SPR, our meeting, and the mission of our society to “further pediatric research in the Midwest by highlighting scientific discovery, foster collaboration, and promote academic career development from trainees to senior faculty”.

MSPR will host 2 Pre-Meeting workshops on Wednesday, September 28th:

Launch Your Career in Pediatrics: A Practical Career Development Workshop for Fellows and Junior Faculty, 1:45-4:15pm. This session is devoted to building early career skills for fellows and junior faculty and will be worthwhile for both first time attendees and people who have attended previously.
Manuscript Preparation: Tips and Discussion For Every Career Stage, 4:30-6:00pm
